ICME and magnetic obstacle list from WIND/MFI and /SWE

Teresa Nieves-Chinchilla (1995). ICME and magnetic obstacle list from WIND/MFI and /SWE [Data set]. NASA Wind spacecraft, Comprehensive Solar Wind Laboratory for Long-Term Solar Wind Measurements.

Description

This catalogue provides the compiled list of Interplanetary coronal mass ejections (ICME) events with an embedded magnetic obstacle (MO) observed by Wind mission over more than 20 years. ICMEs are defined by the net effects that a CMEs displays in the interplanetary medium, detected by in situ instrumentation, with specific imprints in the observations. A MO is defined as the interval within an ICME where the magnetic pressure dominates over the plasma pressure concurrent with a rotation in the magnetic field direction.
